Recently bought this with 20k miles, like new condition, c-12 CAT. trying to get intel. Looking to replace the shocks, recommendations...? thx

Agreed. Unless they are specific issues with handling, related to suspension, shocks wouldn't be at the top of my priority list.

If you are decided, you could go down the rabbit hole of Kona vs Bilstein debate...

doing that, hoping someone had a strong preference on which is better, thx

Why, are they leaking or something? With only 20k miles they should be fine otherwise. With the RV now 22 years old I would be looking at things like all of the rubber hoses and belts first.

is there a date somewhere on the tire? thx
There is a tire manufacture date as part of the DOT code stamped on the sidewall of every tire sold in the USA. The DOT code is typically only on one tire face, so sometimes you might have to look on the back side. This brief article explains how to find and read the code.

Most tire experts estimate the useful life of a tire is about 7 years. They may well last longer, but the risk of a blowout gets progressively higher as it ages. Since a blowout on a motorhome often damages the body, wiring or plumbing, it can be extremely expensive as well as unsafe.
