This will be a long thread but I really don't know where else to turn. Last year our brakes went out just as we were leaving the shop where we'd had a oil change, etc. getting ready to go camping. Had it towed to a garage where it set for a pretty long time while they tried "to find parts" after telling us the master cylinder was no good. After waiting and waiting, we had it towed to a garage and it has sett there now since last November. They mechanic there, that HAD worked for the place it was towed from , told us they had cut the power steering line - not the hose - and so, we've been on the search for one and hopefully have it pinned down. In the meantime, they have told us that it is not safe to drive. NOW, the electrical system is not doing what it's supposed to do and I'm HOPING mice haven't chewed wires although I put mouse deterant in it. We just don't know what to do. We just had new tires put on it and batteries. They are saying we should sell it but how can you sell it if you can't start it? Any advice would be welcome. I hate the thought of selling it as I LOVE to go camping and have always thought of it as my little "play house" but I know there comes a time. And IF we should sell it, I have no idea how much it's worth in the condition it's in. Please advise!

I am guessing that it is on a Workhorse chassis with the Chevy Vortec engine? If so, it may explain why parts are so difficult to find. Is it in a shop in Fox River Grove? You might find something at Workhorse Parts website.

You might google RV salvage yards to see if any of the parts are available used. The electrical problems may be worse since few people will work on the electrical systems

Stories like this are very common on old Class As. If you get it operational again sell it before something else breaks. But don't buy another old Class A. Too many parts are impossible to find.
