If it's directly connected to the generator it will need to spin at mid-range RPM. That's likely where the engine is most efficient anyway.

A Pentastar V6 is anything but quiet between 3k-4k.

I could barely hear the V8 in my Ram while it was running. I would guess a V6 with 305 hp probably only needs to run at idle speed to recharge. Likely silent in comparison to little engines running at 3000 rpm recharging small cars.

Yeah, it should be able to run at any frequency since it is all converted to DC to charge the battery--much like a large inverter genny.

However, the RamCharger does have 120 VAC outputs to use for other stuff. But I have no idea where that comes from. Perhaps an inverter from the main battery? Or a different smaller genny as the Rivians have?

I have a lot of questions about how the Ramcharger works. Perhaps I will have to see one for myself.
