2027 Quartzsite Bash Planning

This is usually the rumble time for the Quartzsite bash,, and in 4 months I will be heading south for that event..I am looking for the planning folks that are normally in the pilots seat and kicking the chocks loose..This will be my 29th year and I won't miss it>>>Dan

I'll be there. However, as far as I know, no one has volunteered to organize the event. Since, you brought it up, you are the meetup leader. Thanks for volunteering.

All I can say is “not me.” We are doing a seasonal spot in town at Rice Ranch this year.

I'm wondering about the flooding and damage in the area. I'd suggest talking with people/authorities who can shed light on how things are going. I hope that camping will be permitted when it gets to be that time!

The washes run big every few years. It is handled quickly, and camping is never in jeopardy. The place we are staying in got a 1000’ of gorgeous Mexican brick fencing washed away, but the campground is still there and still accepting guests. And the desert has 10,000+ acres - there is still lots of room. Don’t go spreading rumors where you have no real data. A simple internet search would have kept you from making this kind of statement.

We’re starting to plan for a month or two loop that will get is there for the show but we want to hit Bakersfield or Tehachpi, Needles, Parker, Havasue, maybe Yuma, Palm Desert, some other places and end up in Morro Bay. Hopefully by then diesel prices will become less crazy. I saw it at 7.99 a gallon yesterday.

Better plan on expensive fuel. Prices won’t go down for months after the oil starts to move again due to transport, refining, and distribution lags. But I will ask, do you use the Ooen Roads app? Best way to save on diesel. The prices at a truck stop always show a LOT higher than the discounted price.

Open roads with the TSD crd is great, when we were diesel used it all the time. Gas Buddy is fine for gas, but nowhere near as good for diesel. While using I recieved up to $1 off er gallon.
