54 years of RV related recreation

I have always said if I can’t pass a driving test, then I shouldn’t be driving. That includes physical dexterity, vision, and skills. It is why I have absolutely zero problem if some day my state would require a special license for driving an RV. If I couldn’t pass it, I shouldn’t be driving. I am only 71, a youngster to some here, but I hope I give up my keys before I become unsafe. Actually, I am pretty sure my oldest son’s take-no-prisoners honesty will make sure I know when that is. But I also know that age is just a number. My mom was an unsafe driver at 60; my FIL was safely driving cross-country at 89.

Today marks our 54th anniversary of wedded bliss, but it is also 54 years of RV-ing.
Congratulations! We were married in 1962 but didn't get our first RV until 1972. We did do quite a bit of camping with a tent between 1968 and 72 and we owned an RV of some type nearly all of the time until 2024. I consider the best of our RV experiences to have been the years that we were fulltime, with no real estate anywhere.
