I have attached an Excel file with 600 parks that have free WiFi. The file contain hyperlinks to each park's website. All have websites. Either they advertise free WiFi or I received an email from them confirming that their WiFi was free to overnight guests. I had to restrict myself to parks with websites so I could get their address. Using their address I was able to obtain their latitude and longitude.

If you import the file into MS Street & Trips, the balloon will show the hyperlink that you can click on and get that parks website.

Tom, I suggest you replace my file of 500 parks you put in the library with this one. This file contains those 500 plus 100 more.  For those that have downloaded the old file, I suggest you replace it with this one.

These last 100 parks have been difficult to find. I believe the only way to increase this file further is to get the park owners involved. Anyone have a suggestion how to get park owners to submit their parks with free WiFi?

Here's another park where we are currently staying which has free WiFi.

Bauer's Canyon Ranch RV Park.  Website link below.

http://www.bauersrv.com/

We will be traveling extensively for the next few months and I will continue to provide RV parks with free WiFi that are not on your list.  Thanks for compiling this list.  I know it takes a great amount of time and everyone who uses it appreciates your efforts.

Thanks,

D2

The Surprize AZ ?Pueblo El Mirage is correct, however only a minute groupe of people can use it without going to the Office area. ?If you subscribe to WiFi.com here in the park it's 24.95 a month or 29.95 a month. ?They have 2 programs and neither can be used in most of the park. ?They only have 1 antenna and then if you don't spend $129 with WiFi.com for a different card, Reception is good only within 300 ft of the office were the antenna is located. ?Reception here sucked and 90% of the people here use Cox cable. ?This is a huge park and even now in the summer, it's not effective.

Hi JamesOne

EXCELLENT WORK - yet again !!

Thank You !

Paul

You may like to update the location of Stoney Creek RV Park, Seward AK to 60.18098, -149.37466.

MS Streets/Trips believes this CG is in the centre of Seward, but it is actually 6 miles out of town.

Why are there so many issues with Streets & Trips (and others) like this ??

Also (sorry) but Sealaska Inn (and dry campground), Hyder, AK offer free wi-fi, but their CG (Camp Run-a-Muck, 1/2 mile down road) were charhing $2 for access to theirs - perhaps they have now cancelled the charge ?

James,

Again, with your permission, I'll convert the data to a Street Atlas draw layer and send it to Bob Cook for his web site with all the other useful files.

Thanks again for your hard work.

No problem, Ned. This is a resource for anyone who wants it. I have contacted several Park Associations and am already getting responses from parks with free wifi that are not in the file.

Have you contacted ARVC ? Here is the President/CEO Lynda's e-mail [email protected]

Hi JamesOne

Here are a few more :-

Denali Rainbow RV Park http://www.denalirv.com = FREE

Try and book ahead to get a site near to office, but NOT a back-in against the log cabin stores.

Denali Rainbow is certainly not your prettiest CG, but is in centre of town and less than 5 mins walk to Cabin Nite Theatre.

Anchorage RV Park (http://www.anchoragervpark.com) = FREE (we stayed 3 nights and got 24hrs free use to spread over those 3 days, not just the 1st day)

Out of 3 CGs we stayed at in Anchorage, this was MUCH better than any of them - it actually had grass, which is rare for any CG in Alaska.

Rivers Edge RV Resort, Fairbanks (http://www.riversedge.net/fairbanks-RV-park.htm) = FREE

Regards
Paul

free wifi CG
Ft Nelson BC
Bluebell in motel  & CG
www.bluebelleinn.ca

antenna is set low on forward wall of CG. Very few rigs can see it. I had to go back to my towcar and sit in it to use the connection. Ned went to a picnic table for his line of sight. Terry had a barely usable signal in his coach.

You can add Cheyenne WY KOA to your list. They have just installed LinkNGO on a free basis and the coverage is very good.

Here are two more parks offering free WIFI:

Sounds of the Sea in Trinidad, CA:  http://soundsofthesea.netfirms.com/

Prospect RV Park in Prospect, OR: http://www.prospectrvpark.com/

Hi James,

Don't know if you have this one on your list but Aquia Pines in Stafford, VA has free WIFI. They used to charge $3/day but now offer it free. The only problem is they raised their rate $6/night!!!!!

You can add Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in Creede, Co to your list. This actually two parks and the coverage is for both the RV park and Resort park.  www.mountainviewsrv.com
