A/C Freeze Control Sensor?

I replaced my old Duo-Therm model 57915.331 A/C with a Dometic Brisk II 15,000 BTU. The problem is I don’t know if this old sensor should be replaced or where it should go. The old A/C had a hole that it pushed into and snapped around a coil tube. But the new unit does not have a hole to install it.

Picture 1 is the old unit and shows the hole where the sensor went. Picture 2 is the sensor from the old unit.

Also does anyone know if a Freeze control is already built into the Dometic? Or do I need to add one?

Not all A/Cs have freeze sensors
Usually it's a "probe" (like a meat thermometer)
And no I do not know about the Dometic.
