Absorption fridge woes

I believe this is what the OP is using:

So… my fridge is fine, at least for now. After a bunch of troubleshooting (and my wife commenting that she couldn’t get any outlets to work when trying to vacuum the RV), the brain bomb dropped that perhaps the rig didn’t have any 110v AC at all. Everything we’d turned on since arriving home last weekend had been 12v DC it turned out.

Sure enough, I eventually realized I’d connected the 30/50amp adapter incorrectly that brings power from my garage receptacle to the rig. Meaning the fridge had switched to propane for several days (plus we’d accidentally left the gas water heater on) until that LP tank ran dry. Fridge shut off and I was left scratching my head.

Power is restored and fridge cooled fine back to normal temps overnight. No buzz/hum currently either, so that remains an unknown & we’ll see if it returns.

$40-50 worth of propane and spoiled food taught me another RV lesson. I’ve been doing this since 2007 and it’s still easy to make these mistakes!
I pretty much had a similar situation where I couldn't figure out why the fridge wouldn't cool, while we were packing for a trip. I hadn't turned on the propane and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work on AC and was starting to panic. It turns out that I had unplugged the TT during a major lightning storm, and forgot to plug it back in!!
Plugged it in and everything worked fine. Live and Learn!!

Safe travels and all the best.

Wrong. The one I posted is exactly the same as in post #21 and I added the schematic. Notice that the female plug is for the RV 50a, 4 pin plug and the adapter then allows L1 to be powered by one outlet and L2 to be powered from a second outlet. I have used one of those myself and they are not for a dryer at all. If you understand the schematic, it clearly shows that each hot pin of the 50a female plug is powered from a separate 30a plug's hot leg.
