I have a 1998 southwind withl ac issues. I just changed out bad motor on front unit, after changing motor the compressor keep kicking out then back on briefly.when compressor does come on it is very noisy.
I have replaced all capacitors.,
I lost ac power the other day just for a moment and noticed that when I did I also lost DC power , so if I have bad house batteries could it effect my ac operating properly
Thank you

No specially if the controls are on the A/C unit. If on a thermostat then maybe if the thermostat is fed 12 volts from the batteries. Plugging in the rig or starting the generator will virtually eliminate the 12 volt  problem as the 12 volts will be supplied by your converter and not the batteries
The compressor cycling on and off sounds like low Freon and or bad compressor specially with the noise
