AC on constantly

Hey guys, new here and looking for help. I have a 2008 Dometic duotherm 13500 btu with heat strip. Controls are on unit. Left control is clockwise off, ac low, ac high, fan high, fan low, heat. Right control is temp setting. When unit is on either of the AC speeds both the fan and compressor run constantly regardless of temp setting. I have to switch speed switch to fan or off to get compressor to shut off.  I came back to the trailer yesterday and you could have hung meat in here. Help!

First thing I would do is locate the thermostat probe and see if it became disodged

The thermostat seems to be in it's correct place. After I shut the unit off I can feel and hear the "click" in the rotary temperature control when passing the current temperature

The click Probably means it is working BUT the only true way to know is to put a VOM on it and see if the continuity reading goes to zero somewhere as you turn the STAT towards warmer.
