AC Radiator screen

We are currently in Wyoming and  the cottowood trees are beginning their shedding of the cotton type seed discharge that at its height will look like a heavy snow fall.  I am thinking about placing a screen like you would find in a window on the outside of my Winnebago residential AC cooling radiator to stop these cotton pieces from being sucked into the radiator. Then just go out and shake them off the screen a couple of times a day. Has anyone tried this and does anyone beleive this may restrict the airflow to a degree to harm the AC unit?  Thanks for any input.

Yep, the Cottonwood trees are a mess alright, and play havoc with my allergies. As far as the AC condenser fins go, I haven't had too much problem with them getting clogged. I just use a soft bristle brush from time to time if it starts getting visible pieces sticking to the front.  Not sure if the screen would restrict flow or not. Maybe an AC guru will chime in.

Front grill filter

Came up with an idea. Worked out great! Material is weather proof and washes out with hose easily. Bought at Lowes. Cut to size and zip tie in place. This will greatly reduce the dirt, silt, dogwood, dust etc...from coming in and plugging up the condenser and radiator.
