Hello all,
Im Steve from Alberta, I have a 2001 HR Endeavour. The airbags have a sweep style mud flap that I asssume is to protect the airbags. Several are in rough shape and need replacing.
Do I need to replace them with the same or could I just use regular mud flaps?
I’ve been trying to find the sweep style but no luck.

Not a great picture cause my air is dumped right now, the sweeps are in front of the airbags on all four wheels. Both in front and behind the tires

I wouldn't put a solid rubber type. They may flop a bit and beat on the air bag. Maybe the plastic kind. I think the Hula Skirt materiel is readily available, might need to track it down at a truck parts of shop.

In the previous life I worked for an LTL freight company and Oregon required them on triple trailers. Shop had that stuff by the roll.

Thanks for the info, didn’t know they were called Hula Skirt. Will try again using the correct name might help

Sometimes called a grass skirt or just a skirt, to distinguish them from the solid type mud flap. You seldom see them on individual wheels because they are very effective in that size. Even the full width ones don't do much.

I don't think you need be much concerned about the mud flaps damaging the air bags - they are (or should be) designed stiff enough so they don't fly up too much. If they don't stay down, they are worthless anyway.
