Sitting in the RV tonight watching TV, when BANG! from outside.

It's been raining pretty good here tonight, (just outside Packwood, WA) so I grabbed my rain jacket and flashlight and went to investigate.

One of our neighbors has a brand new Montana fifth wheel trailer. The Carefree power awning had collapsed...all sor5s of broken/bent parts...probably because of the rain. I surmise from the angle of the support arms, he had it extended at too flat an angle with no slope to allow the water to shed...
I talked to him for a few minutes. Everyone in the unit is safe, I'll wa der over in the morning to see if I can help him get it off and mobile so he can take it home.

And here I was, complaining about my dying LPG detector...

Saturday a sudden storm rolled across the beaches. Someone in the parts department stated " better bring awning parts up front for all those folks that left their awnings out." I expect that statement will prove to be true this morning (Monday).

AAt the moment my awning is so secured I can not extend it. This is by design (mine) to make sure it's not accidently extended.  Where I'm at I don't need it.  Last night's rain storm was HEAVY.

Went over this morning, and between the two of us, we managed to get it rolled up and secured enough for him to go home. (I think I was more moral support than any actual help)  :p
