All the lights in my 5th wheel just quit working WTH?

I have a 1998 Travel Supreme 40' RV 5th wheel and all of the sudden all the lights are not working and half the electrical outlets. The frig, dishwasher and convection and water heater work on that side but the outlets and lights on that part do not. The tv outlet works but the lights where the tv is dont. entertainment center and all those outlest work. the outlet where the couch is works but the lights do not. the computer at the kitchen table outlet works but lights there do not. none of the lights running on ceiling in kitchen and living room work. Bathroom and bedroom lights dont work. washer works but dryer does not work and light in that cabinet where washer and dryer are does not work. so basically NONE of any of the lights work but half the outlets work and the appliances all but dryer work. Working this morning now not working? Checked fuses and breakers and no bad fuses and no breakers were tripped. HELP!

First, reset all the breakers in the rv and on the pedestal. one must be tripped but does not look like it.

Get your voltmeter out and start at the pedestal. Make sure there is power there. Then check the other end of the power cable if that is possible. Then open the main panel inside the motorhome and check all the breakers for power. In other words, start at the source and work your way forward.

Did you check for any tripped GFCI receptacles?

that is the outlets that have the resets on them right? if so I checked them all and reset them all but it seems like not all of them will reset

If the GFCI's will not reset, you either have something on that circuit that is shorted or you have a bad GFCI. I would start by unplugging everything you can and eliminating things one at a time.

If you have a volt meter as stated above start at the pedestal and make sure you have power on both legs.

Your lights should all be 12VDC so that would indicate a problem with the battery being disconnected.  The other 120VAC problem might also have disconnected your converter so it can't power the lights either.  You have 2 problems.

ok My trailer is plugged into a 50 amp plug and breaker. I am not understanding what your meaning when you say converter? and pedistal, both legs and battery being disconnected?

also the ac and washer which is a regular 110 plug dryer does not work on that plug

Then I think you need to hire professional help like an electrician.

There could be a lot of reasons. That is why you need a meter and start at the beginning. We can only guess from here.

The pedestal that he referred to is where you plug your RV in to for power.  It's commonly called the pedestal.

Do you have a volt meter? 

Maybe ask somebody that's camped close to you......most are willing to help within their own knowledge.

not parked at an rv park. 

where my trailer plugs in it is plugged directly into a wall that has a 50amp breaker. it is a permanently parked trailer. So when you say pedestal I am not sure what your meaning. Where the cord comes out and is plugged in... there is no compartments in the trailer there to put a volt meter on

What ever your rv is plugged into! make sure there is electricity there first.
