Anybody have or any knowledge on a insurance co called Explorer RV Insurance. I got a quote from the and it seemed pretty reasonable. Camper in question is 2005 Sandpiper 335 RLT.
What doy you guys/gals recommend for insurance companies? I'm located in Michigan.

We have our insurance with Explorer and have been satisfied with the policies and service.  We haven't had any claims so can't comment on that aspect.

Explorer is an independant insurance agency that sells policies for insurnace underwriters, or companies. They are one who has RV specialists much like The Miller Agency or Anon(used to be RV Alliance). Like the other two, they do seem to have a pretty good reputation, although I think that they are some smaller.

We also use Explorer RV Insurance as our agent. Have had good service and the prices are competitive, at least for our circumstances.  The rates that any agency offers will depend on your location, the type of vehicle and personal factors (e.g. driving history), so it's impossible to say how your rates will work out.  Get quotes from several agencies that handle Rv insurance and see.  Just make sure you are comparing apples to apples.

A quick search came up with this ..... http://www.explorerrv.com/quote-stage-1/Default.aspx?&gclid=CI31ga3g3qwCFQvptgodl32JHA

I have had Good Sam/GMAC RV insurance for quite some time. I have never had any claims, even before the GMAC insurance, so I cannot comment about that. I originally purchased GMAC through Good Sam for the reason that I have been a life member for years and GMAC gives a discount on the premium everytime we came home and put the RV in storeage until we use it again. All I have to do is telephone when we park it and again when we hook on it again.

This may not help much, but I am a retired State Farm ins. agent(40 yrs) and if you have their insurance your other vehicle will get a 2 cars discount if you insure your MH. Not if you insure your tow behind.

The rate is competitive and is an annual premium.
Over yhe years had customers with different types of claims and they seemd to be happy when settled.
