Eating the dried food reminded me of a dog we had once. She was a medium-sized Schnauzer and was very well behaved and never stole food--at least as long as someone was in the same room as she was.

I had made some sweet roll dough and I had put it in a big Tupperware container while it rose. We took the dog with us to my parent's house for dinner on a Sunday. We decided to stop at a store for something and left her in the car. When we got back, we discovered that the lid had popped off, and she had eaten about half of the sweet roll dough.

I suppose we should have taken her to the vet, but we didn't. She was very bloated all day and very gassy, to say the least.
Same thing happened to my wife's family dog when she was a kid. Dog ate a whole loaf of bread dough left rising on a table. They came home and the dough was gone and the dog was laying on the floor with a grotesquely distended stomach and groaning. My F-I-L was an orthopedic surgeon and he shoved a piece of surgical tube down the dog's throat and the dog vented for about 5 minutes.

Ray, great looking exhaust tip, I'll keep it in mind if my $13 repair clamp should fail.

A couple of hand pumps shown won't do the job on 15-40 diesel oil. I had one from Amazon and I didn't even get a half-gallon pumped when it busted apart. To the vendor's credit, they read my review on Amazon and credited me my money back with my asking!

Yep, I tied off my funnel to the laddar also!

Try a 12-volt diesel oil pump.

Yeah Don, I've looked at those inexpensive electric pumps. However, most of them say they are made as "oil" extractors and are to be used after the oil (engine)is warmed up. My guess, and guess only is cold 15-40W is heavier and thicker going from the jug to the engine making the transfer more difficult.

Thanks for the link. I'm going to investigate them again and read some reviews.

Just sold my Casita Travel Trailer. Dometic doors are a frequent issue on their forums, have run into a few people that had issues. Those little trailers bounce a lot. "Little House Customs" is the name of a place that does all things Casita. Started by a pretty smart guy named Larry, that started working on trailers and came up with solutions when there were none available. They sell a small steel piece the fits into the hinge and secures to the door beef up this problem area. I've talked to a guy that had door fall off and used this plate to reinstall it after being quoted lots by Dometic. Cheap preventative or fix, took me about 20 minutes to add it. Some people add the plates top and bottom, but I can"t think upside down so just did the top.

The CRC pump I posted will easily pump 90wt gear oil, thick chain saw bar oil and almost any other fluid. I keep several in containers in the shop for those specific purposes and they have worked for several years now. I don't have anything that I need to pump motor oil into however.
