All RV parking slots are level, but some are a lot more level than others. Except at the KOA in Flagstaff, AZ where I could not level this rig no matter what I tried. There, I just left it as close as I could get it.
Here, in this RV park in Redcrest, before I leveled this rig, I noticed my motorcycle ramp was higher than usual. I got the bike off okay, but I was concerned I would have to move the RV to get the bike back on because the cycle ramp was higher than usual here, and I didn't feel safe using the bike's power to get it back up that high on the ramp when it was time to leave.
I am not sure if it's that
@RRR is a genius or if I am an idiot. But he looked at my bike carrier and said "try using only the front of your leveling system and jack the front of the motorhome up high so the rear will be lower." I never even thought about doing that.
I leave here tomorrow morning, so I just loaded up the bike with that method. It was so low to the ground, I didn't even need to use any of the bike's power to get the bike on the cycle ramp. I noticed when I use only the front, it lifts the front wheels well off the ground. BTW, I did put both slides in and turned off my refrigerator, while all was level, before I loaded up the bike, with this motorhome's nose up in the air.
Now all is back to normal and I am ready to leave in the morning. I'm not going anywhere from here, just back to Auburn, then Reno.
I went for a short little hike today, walked out from this RV park, and found an unpaved road and some trails to hike on. I saw another little
common garter snake today:
