Wondered if some of you would mind posting what the approximate weight is of your camping gear (clothes, dishes, food, small grill, etc.).  We would be camping in a small travel trailer (probably a 20' bunkhouse) and there are just the 2 of us. Would around 500# sound like a good estimate (excluding water)?

Thanks!

Our runs about 400-600 lbs not including any water in the tanks for two people.  The variation depends on how much bottled water, clothes, hunting gear, etc. we take along and how long we are planning to stay.

Our total loadout is upwards of 2000 lbs, but we carry a lot of stuff since we live in the rig several months a year and also carry a lot of gear to use at rallys or just plain enjoy ourselves. For example, I have both a gas and charcoal BBQ plus a gas log fireplace.

There is no typical load, since people's wants and needs vary tremendously. The only rule of thumb is that it is always far more than you would ever suspect!
