Does anyone have a B A L leveling system on teir 5th wheel? Does it lift your tires off the ground and if so is it ok?

Just general comments on leveling systems - not BAL in particular...

Much depends on the terrain where it is trying to level. If it does that in relatively level sites, it may need to have its "level" re-calibrated - should be covered in the manual.  It's generally not a good idea to lift the wheels off the ground, but shouldn't be a disaster either (assuming the jacks and the trailer frame were adequately designed for the job).

are you talking about the little bal levelers that cradle a tire, and lift with a jack screw?  they have a weight limit, and can only go with so big of a tire........ I'm not sure off hand what the numbers are though, but I think a 5th wheel might likely be too much for it.  I know about them being used for pop-ups and small single axle trailers....and I actually have one in my attic leftover from my pop-up.  I'd like to find a good home for.....
