Just purchased a 2003 Damon Daybreak 2750LE, 8.1, 480LE transmission, no slideouts, which was important to me. One less thing to go wrong, on Saturday. In really good condition for its age, I think.

Currently camping with a 22 foot travel trailer, and had a Toyota Sunland Express before that. The Toyota was short lived. It was a project when I got it, and while I enjoyed it, my better half thought it was too small. And that was before we got a dog. Plus the fact every new noise I heard from it going down the road made me a nervous wreck.

Anyway, I plan on doing all the preventative maintenance that I can. Still trying to figure out all the systems, and I need to look into the generator exhaust. The pipe off the exhaust port rotted away, and it looks like that stuff is no longer available.

I'm sure i'll be asking plenty of questions, and thanks for having me.

Hi Zilla, Your Damon Daybreak looks great!
Good luck with all the PM and getting it up to shape.
A world of adventire awaits.
:)

Big Congratulations on your motorcoach; as for your issue with the generator exhaust pipe, do you have the name and year of the Generator? Maybe we can help you locate a newer pipe for your RV generator.

Generators come from the genset maker with a stub exhaust. The motorhome builder adds more pipe and brackets to route the exhaust to a suitable place outside the body. What you will find in stores is either a straight extension or one with a short elbow (mostly used with Onans). Suggest you Google 'generator exhaust pipe' and look around for one that is the right I.D. to match yours and a length & shape you can live with.

Finally got a chance to get the motorhome off the ground enough to get my fat a$$ underneath it.
Changed oil, greased all the fittings I could find. Found out it has Bilstein shocks all around and air bags in the front springs. Repaired a couple compartment latches and lubed them all.

I didn't get an air filter ordered yet, but at least I know where it's at now. LOL!
Tires were manufactured 01 and 02 2024!

We did take it for a short weekend trip three weeks ago and was happy that everything works as advertised.

Still haven't got the generator exhaust fixed. Still looking for the correct pipe as there is nothing to clamp to.

For what I paid for it, I was expecting to have to put more work into it than I have.
I hope my luck continues.
