I have a 2000 cruisemaster by georgie-boy DP. It has about 77k on it. Would I gain any appreciable performance with a Banks system to warrant the expense. Would I put any strain on the engine that would shorten it's life.

FYI Banks also makes kits for the Ford 6.8L V10 and GM 8.1L gas engine and a few other older engines.WILDEBILL308 said:You didn?t say what engine you have but it has to be a Cummins B5.9L or a C8.3L if you are looking at Banks. Just wondering what HP. I don?t think you will get a super increase in mileage as banks only claims a .5 mpg increase. I don?t think it would be that detrimental to the over all reliability and longevity. I think it might actually help, as you won?t have to work the engine as hard to maintain speed. Banks also claims to reduce EGT temps that would be a plus.
I want to be honest and under a full discloser I have a Banks Economind Diesel Tuner and a Banks IQ that I am going to install on my 2003 5.9. I will write up a report after I get every thing installed and up and running in the next mouth or so. Will it pay for it?s self? I think there are more paybacks than just money.

FWI Ken it would be most unlikley to find aneything but Cummins or Cat in a 2000 cruisemaster by georgie-boy DP. Banks dosen't make kits for Cat There fore it has to be one of the Cummins that I mentuend.kenb1023 said:FYI Banks also makes kits for the Ford 6.8L V10 and GM 8.1L gas engine and a few other older engines.
