Hello everyone! This site and it's forums and library are wonderful for the bajillion questions I've had while undertaking the task of repairing a fifth wheel that was given to me by a relative. I have now replaced the entire floor, the back wall, all four roof edges, all the exterior compartments, and am in the process of sealing up the exterior. (I'm thinking my hubby was right, I should have just sold it for scrap...sigh. Too late now!)
Soooo, a question I could not find an answer to...The exterior compartments (LP, batteries, tool/generator storage) are plywood and I need to seal them with something that aggressively repels moisture as I live in (usually) soggy Western Washington. Marine paint (an enamel paint that is thick and oil-based) seemed like a good idea, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Any suggestions?

Any marina should have marine-type paints and western Washington should have plenty of those.

Various "waterproof" paints and sealers are sold in hardware and paint  stores - just ask.  Oil base or alkyd paints are also commonly used for moist environments, as are varnishes and shellacs.

Just Google 'waterproof paint' and you should find plenty of brands to choose from.
