Black tank flush

I do this all the time. Dump, run flush hose, close valve and wait a minute or two, dump again, repeat as needed until the discharge runs clear. It's kind of amazing how much more stuff comes out.

Rule number 1 - NEVER, EVER WALK AWAY WHILE DOING THIS! I stand there staring at it until I'm finished, ignoring all else. So far, so good. (knock wood)

Wait - it says that?

This season something I've tried is after the black tank is done draining I'll open up the gray tank with the black valve still open, and quite a bit of gray will backflow into the black tank. Enough that it seems to wash out a bit more than without.

I do the same and always fill the grey tank full before heading to the dump station. It flushes several gallons of grey into the black tank that way.

Regarding stupid signs, twice I was lucky enough to take a Transatlantic Crossing on the QE2, aka RMS Queen Elizabeth 2. However, even this classic ship had signs painted on the railings not to sit or stand on them.
