Blocking Distracting Animated Ads

Fairly often but I NEVER turn off the blocker and just find other sites.

But how often do you see websites that detect you're using an ad-blocker and must turn it off to continue? That happened to me many times with Adblock.

It is not a browser feature. It's part of Windows OS, going back a ways.

I remember you talking a while back about the software for you cameras requiring IE.
Have you asked the manufacturer of those cams if they have any modern version of their code to accommodate newer browser code?

And I also often use the "screenshot" function on Edge that most other browsers do not have.

Waterfox can take a screenshot by selecting from the right-click menu (except when hovering over a picture), as can Firefox from which Waterfox is derived.

I never knew the shortcut for snipping tool and it was lost as an app at some version roll.

I searched the executable directory to find it and sent it to the desktop.

Animated ads are rather distracting. I don't mind ads, since somehow this site must be paid for, but the animations are sufficiently distracting that I need to figure out how to eliminate them.

I actually came to this section to make this post because my frustration from the animated dog teeth treatments were getting harder and harder to take, such that I had trouble concentrating on what I was trying to read. And no, I don't have a dog, or any pet for that matter, so it's an ad that is useless for the advertiser anyhow.

Is there a way to eliminate the animation?

Yes there is! Download the free browser add-on Adblock ultimate. Adjust the settings to your preferences. If any add gets through, just right-click on the add and, select Ad block ultimate, click the add it's gone.
The only add I see here is the header bar, and I can eliminate it if I choose. I just now eliminated the header bar add. I'll go back and disable it now, as I like that part.

Then begin at a top corner of your desired screen shot and drag the cursor to the opposite lower corner.

What browser are you using? I use Win 11, and I do get a menu when I right click but nothing about screen shots.

I think you have to download the Windows Snipping Tool if using Win 11 Home. It's an optional feature from Microsoft.
