Hello all,
As my school vacation approaches I'm going to head south for my first RV trip. If I take the recommended route will I have to divert many times for propane restrictions? I know there's that tunnel in Baltimore to avoid but will I run into any other problems like that?
Thanks,
Zach

Zach,

There are no other restrictions that I know of from Boston to Charleston. I've run Boston or Vermont to Fla many times (but over tens years ago).

Best route to avoid heavy urban traffic and not add a lot of miles:

I 90 west to I 84 west
I 84 to I 390 north/west to I 81 south
I 81 south to either  US 17 south ( gets on and off of I 66) to I 95 south
or
I 81 south to I 64 east to I 95 South
I 95 south to I 26 east

this route is 120 miles longer than I95 thru NYC, Philly, Balt. and DC. (actually less than 120 miles more unless you do go thru the tunnel!).

Hi Ken,
Thanks for the reply, that route looks good...I hate the NJ Turnpike and it looks like this route would skip that.
Take care,
Zach

Hello, If you come down I 81 as far as I 66 you might as well go on down to I 77 and take 77 down to Columbia and then catch 26 on down!!

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the replies. The trip went great!! I stuck to 95 and the NJTP, and avoided the Baltimore tunnel with that alt. route which worked out well.
