brake buddy quit working

I purchased a used brake buddy. I used it on a trip up to Canada, worked great for about half the trip, then the compressor went out . It got to a point where it would pump up to around 10 lbs. of air and then stop. I called the brake buddy co. and I was told that they don't sell parts, but if i ship it to them , they would repair it for $145.
Does anybody know where I might be able to get a compresser, or get it repaired for less than$145?

You are assuming that the compressor is defective. That may just be symptom of failed circuitry controlling the compressor.  $145.00 seems more than reasonable to me. (2 grocery bags of groceries nowadays).
Of course there is the shipping cost, pending where you live.
