As mentioned, don't discount the advantage of buying something gently used. RV designs haven't changed that much in the last 10-15 years, except for a few electronic creature comforts. Dealers will always have their overhead to meet in order to pay for those warehouse dealerships and big slabs of concrete lots. Private owners don't have any of that. Right now, the used RV market is still pretty hot, but over the next couple years I predict (and hope) that some market correction will occur. At that point there ought to be a whole bunch of nice 2-3yo units that people bought during covid craziness but later realized the RV lifestyle isn't what they really want. That's when I plan to buy back in.
We sold our 2008 trailer in 12 hours on Facebook, a couple months ago... for more than what I paid for it back in 2015. It was still in good shape, I had new tires and other maintenance already done, it was priced reasonably, and the right/ready/willing buyer came along at the same time. All part of the magical formula that I enjoy about dealerless transactions.
