Looking for a "Pro Con" analysis of cable operated SOs.? ? ? ?Which is more reliable/durable, last longest etc? ? ? ? ? ?Thanx;? ? ? ? Sorcisto      Or is the other system better?

Hi Sorcisto,

Others may have more knowledge than me on this but I would opt for the rack and pinion electric system now available on most newer models. The slideouts usually come in straight with very few problems. I can visualize problems with a cable system if one is slightly stretched more than the other. Again, I've never seen one so I don't know all the pros and cons.

I agree with Jim.  The big negative with a cable system is if one cable stretches more than the other it could cause problems.
