Calgon Water Softner in Wash. state

We have been looking in every corner of every store we come across in Washington and Oregon for the Calgon Water softner, so we could start the GEO cleaning method.
Today on another site I read that Calgon Softner has been banned in Wash. & Ore. due to a phosphate .
Any one have any other tried and true ideas ??????

Hi Larry, The EPA at its best....

  Take a look at the link below and look for the alternative product.

  They mention Baking Soda and I will add the use of BORAX (actually a bit stronger the Baking Soda.

  for the ECO method you will probably never know the difference if you are in reasonable soft water area.
