California 49 from Angels Camp to Nevada County Fairgrounds

Anyone familiar with the route.  Did maybe 30+ miles beyond Angels Camp in the Jeep and aside from the climb into Mokelumne Hill and the downhill grade to the River, thought it was a decent road.  Heading out in the morning so would appreciate your thoughts.

Wish I saw this sooner.
There is a way to avoid Sacramento Hill in Placerville.
It has a short steep grade with a real bear of a turn at the light.
To avoid it take Missouri Flat rd to hwy 50. Hwy 50 to hwy 49.

Thanks for the reply Tote.  I chickened out and took the 99 to the 80.  While longer, it takes about the same amount of time.
