I just got my Camco Refrigerator fan and would like to know where to place it in my Refrig so that I get the BEST circulation.
Suggestions, Please.
Thanks,

Had one of those in my old travel trailer, kept it down low pointing up. It helped some but not sure it matters that much how you aim it since getting some air circulation seems to be the key.

I agree, not sure it matters where on a shelf but I try to place it on the 2nd shelf down.  My thinking is that it blows up and causes the air to circulate down.

In air conditioning school they will teach you that heat goes to less heat, cold air is denser, and heavier than hot air, and payday is on friday. (I've been to plumbing school too, but you probably already know that line)

It is easier to move dense air thru thin than vice versa. Put the fan low and blow the cold air. And if you hang the fan off the bottom of a shelf, you might even gain a few square inches of real estate to put more stuff on.

Three weeks ago after giving up on the idea of wiring a box fan (computer) into the lighting system of our Norcold 811 I picked up one of these.  First off, yes it does make a BIG difference in the operation of your fridge!!

Ours is placed on the shelf above the bottom and in the rear although when I change the batteries in a week I'm going to take Kens idea and hang it via a tie wrap from the bottom shelf.  I discovered last nite that my wife thought that the fan itself was a convenient place to stack a small tub of cream cheese on.  I explained that doing so kinda negated the efficiency of said fan, she's usually so much smarter than me. ;D

I will say that before we put the fan in I was running the fridge on #4 of 5 settings just to keep things cold throughout the fridge. Now we run on #2 which will probably pay for the fan in saved propane as well as the batteries the fan needs and the fridge stays right at around 30-35 degrees.  I shoulda bought one of these years ago.

Ken, thanks for the hint. After reading your suggestion yesterday I made small hooks using some thin stainless wire and hung our fan under the bottom shelf. This morning a 20oz water was nearly frozen on the top shelf. I like my beer really cold, but can see I'll be able to crank it back quite a bit and still have beer that's nearly icy.

Thanks for this simple hint and the power savings, as well as some extra room for my cream cheese.
(Sorry Foto, couldn't resist.)
