Somewhere in the middle.
Hello all!

Checking in from Southern Indiana. The wife and I decided we wanted to get back to the woods, so after about a year of looking we decided on a new Salem Cruise Lite 261BHXL. It checked all the boxes and provides enough room for our 3 kids and Sully the camp dog. It can be cramped at times, as there are no slides, but we don't spend much time in there, unless there's rain. So far we have gotten it out 6 times this year.

I grew up in scouting and tent camping, then owned a no frills StarCraft pop-up for a number of years before we got married. I am not a complete newbie to camping, but this is my first travel trailer. It has been a good summer so far, and with fall approaching we are looking forward to the cool nights, and changing of the season. Attached is a pic of our first outing at Brown County State Park.

We have stuck to southern Indiana with the camper this year, but we are looking at venturing out further next summer (IL, TN, KY, etc...). So far I have to say, I love the camper and the ease of use on everything. I think they have done a great job at making a light weight affordable travel trailer with a good sleeping capacity and nice amenities.

Oh, we are towing with a 2015 Dodge Durango, in case anyone is wondering if a Durango can tow a 26' travel trailer. It does a good job with the WD/SC hitch. We will most likely be upgrading the tow vehicle in the coming year or so.

See you in the woods!
