I have a 5th wheel hitch. I have the 2 main parts.  It did not come with the rails or installation kit.

I'm taking my truck to have it installed tomorrow.

Are there rails available that would allow this to slide?  Or is a slider hitch a different beast?  What part actually slides?

Thanks!

I guess you need to figure out what you have before you install it. What is your need? A slider is not necessary for a long bed truck. From the sound of it I would guess that you have a Reese hitch. The Reese comes in either fixed or slider. The slider version is manually activated, prior to making a sharp turn you must get out and manually release the slider.
