Carbon Monoxide/Smoke detector

One other difference between the battery powered RV smoke detectors and the non RV models is how long they will alarm on low battery warning.  I forget the exact details, but because RV's may routinely go unoccupied for much longer periods of time, rv listed battery powered smoke detectors must alarm on low battery much sooner than residential models.

In other words it may be fine for a residential smoke detector to start chirping low battery a week before the battery dies, an RV should probably do it a month before, otherwise it is very possible that no one steps into the RV during the low battery chirp period before the detector dies completely.
