Carefree Awning Dripping Adhesive

I have a 2017 Tiffing Phaeton QBH.  The Carefree main porch awning bracket failed in early 2017 and required replacement under warranty by Tiffin in Red Bay.  Last summer I started to notice drips of a clear "silicone like" substance on the side of the coach under the awning.  It took a while to realize it was coming from the LED light strip in the awning. I called Tiffin on this and they blew me off saying I should contact Carefree.  I have been unable to reach a live person at Carefree to discuss the issue.  I am curious if anyone else has had this problem, and if so, what were you able to do about it? I am able to remove the small sticky drops with an alcohol pad, but they continue to drip and needs to be resolved. Thanks.
