I am adding a suspension kit and new spring hangers on my 5th wheel. Two of the hangers broke off and all the suspension pieces are very worn out. My trailer uses 4.25" hanger and 2.25" shackles. The hangers flex a lot when moving. I want to keep the trailer the same height. Was thinking of reducing the hangers to 3.25"(so they won't flex as much) and increasing the shackle length to 3" to 3.25". I see 3" shackle lengths for up to 7000lb axles so I think it should be ok for my 9200lb 5'er. Anyone have any opinions on the way to go?
