Charging a Lithium Battery With a WFCO WF-8955 Converter

I've done a bit of reading and think my plan will work, but want final approval
I've purchased a Vatrer 300ah lithium battery replacing 2 6v LA batteries
My converter does not have a lithium mode.
I have 2 100w solar panels with a 40 amp mppt controller.
If i read right my converter will charge up to 80-90% of the battery capacity. The battery needs to charge to 100% to balance the cells.
My solar panels should be able to take care of that at least occasionally.
I also purchased a Vatrer 20w lithium battery charger that I can use.

Is this plan ok?

What is the current converter? It's the lead acid absorb phase that will charge lithium, and how converters enter that mode and stay there isn't universal. Might take some experimentation to figure out the standard operating plan.

my trailer has the same charger and it tops off the lithium battery I converted to just fine. I had heard that it wouldnt, but after a year, have had no trouble.

WFCO does not list this model in their WF-8900 series.

he may have meant wf-8955. that's the one I have.

it will charge lithium to around 80%. any higher will require additional charge from the solar.
that particular converter does not have an equalization mode, so you are safe to use it.

My mistake it's WF-8955

I have had 2 WFCO chargers, a 8955 and now a 8965. Both were designed to be Auto Detect and were supposed to auto switch to Lithium charging. Neither did, and I sent them back to WFCO on their dime to be updated. The 8965 now is lithium charging only and charges my 300 AH bank fully every time. I also have 400 watts of solar for boon docking. I can run all day and night on my bank, power the 12 volt refer, watch 3-4hours of satellite TV, and use the lights and water pump and still be at about 50% SOC the next morning. I carry a Honda 2200 for a few hours of recharging time the next day.
