Check Transmission Temp

I have a check transmission temperature warning intermittently. Took the coach to an approved Allison service center and after running through the checks of run up to temp etc.,  there were no issues. After talking with Allison corporate,  all of the sensors are internal and must be read with their equipment.
Allison said that this temperature sesnsor was an aftermarket add on by Workhorse. Before I call Workhorse I thought I would ask if anyone had had this problem, know where the sensor is located, and a replacement part?
Thanx!

What were the conditions when the temp warning comes on?  Driving 55mph on level road, with 80 degree outside temps, or going up a long grade in the mountains or different conditions?

The Allison has an internal radiator and sensor plus a port for connecting an external oil cooler.  You should find any add-on temperature sensor in the transmission cooler line, which is part of the Workhorse chassis design rather than the tranny itself.
The usual place to put a tranny fluid temp sensor is right at the outlet port, where the fluid is close to the actual temp inside the tranny.  Workhorse even mentions that in their chassis guide, but it doesn't specify whether they actually put it there or not!
