Hello All ...

Just wondering if anyone has ever stayed at the Maddox Family Campground in Chincoteague, Virginia.
Wife and I are planning a week stay there in September. The info looks good. Situated close to the beach, full hookups, pool, fishing and crabbing, and  pet friendly.

Thanks Much,

Chas

We used to camp at Chincoteague many years ago.  Two things come to mind, excellent flounder fishing and lots of mosquitos. Sorry I can't help on the campground, it was too long ago.

We have stayed at Maddox a number of times, will go back there anytime we go to Chinco.  Have checked out a couple other CG's on the iosland and would still go to Maddox.  Nice pool, good flat sites, decent stocked store, close to everything, and is the closest to the causeway to the beach.  On mosquito's, they have a spray machine that goes thru every night to help alleciate the skeeters.

We love Chinco, have friends that go every year.  Great ice cream parlor in town, don't remember the name, but it is on the main drag just the other side of where the bridge road is.  Don't miss going by the Misty of Chinco bronze statue if you have kids.
