That's a phony virus warning, not from Windows Defender or any other legitimate source. I've seen it pop up often enough when accessing a tempting video of article from a Facebook post. It's part of the scam website, so can be seen with any browser.

Its a Chromebook so the only possible browser is Chrome that is built into it. Literally the operating system of the Chromebook.

I have no idea how it got installed on my Chromebook, I thought that was impossible. Definitely not a scamming page.

If it was a scam website it would disappear when I shut off the computer.

I have turned off the computer a dozen times, does not disappear.

If you just turn the computer off, the Chrome browser is restoring the page from its history. Should be an orderly exit from the browser followed by a system shutdown. That can be difficult cause the scam page tried to prevent that. After exiting the browser, do a "cold" start to reboot everything. I'm not a Chromebook user so can't provide better details on how to accomplish this.

I got to talk to Mike, my best friend and the smartest person I know. He told me the virus was installed by AI. I was able to powerwash the Chromebook and bring it back to normal.

I got one of those on my windows. Had to go back to the last time of working well then work it out. Those things are nuts.
Also my best bud who passed from cancer and with puters, holy crap was amazing. He saved American Expres I think itbwas , the finance company that everyone delt there money with. After 9-11 , their building was taken out and they thought all was lost . He did the tune ups for a few of their company in south jersey, one guy suggested him to look at it but they have stricken rules. They had to risk it and he got it all. They thanked him big time. Tons of their little company ended up in south jersey to get with him. Freaking guy was amazing. Miss him alot. That's where my son was learning , shame he didn't get to finish. And uncle Louy made a **** of a crab sause.
But glad you got it fixed up. Have to stay clear of that campground porn also. Or maybe your neighbors are in your internet.
