I know it's recommended to have a simple circuit tester in order to determine if a campground's wiring is correct.  All I've found to-date, however, is one for a standard 3-prong outlet.  Do they make them for 30-amp outlets?

If you get one for a standard 3-prong outlet and use it with an adaptor that is female standard plug and male 30-amp plug, would that tell you the 30-amp wiring is okay?

A 30A outlet is wired exactly the same as a 20A outlet, so yes, the 20A tester will work with the adapter.

True, any hardware, Harbor Freight, Wally World, Sears, K-mart

I do not know if they are still priced at 1.97 but that's the price at Radio Shack a week or two ago, All the same basic device, some are physically different but all are electrically the same.

Can't beat that price less you find one at a dollar store
