Is it possibe the liquids stratified i.e. the antifreeze was floating on top of the water (or vice versa)?

Neat idea using a string of Christmas lights. That gives me an idea.

I did make sure all "Water" ran pink before I closed it down for the cold... Alas,  I'll leave the lights on for a couple of weeks... Then I'll fire the furnance, that should meit stuff
