I'm new to this 2018 Winnebago fuse and it looks like the drain hose does not come out at the bottom of the tank. is there a way to drain this tank completely?

Usually, there is a bit of water in the fresh water tank after draining. It is ok to have this remaining water once it freezes since there is room for expansion. Is there another reason you want to drain the water completely or are you concerned about the freezing issue?

Like David, I believe you are meaning the potable water tank? It is very common for the tank drain to connect to the side of the tank, near the bottom and often it shares the suction like to the water pump. Even when there is a drain line at the bottom of the tank that connection protrudes slightly into the tank and leaves about 1/2 inch of water. If there is concern you can decrease the amount left in the tank by tilting the RV toward the drain location, but I know of no way to get ever bit of water out. In more than 40 years of RV experience, that has never been a problem for us.

Thanks very much for your quick answers. This was my worry and if freezing a small amount in the bottom doesn't do damage, my worries are solved. Thank you both!!!!

It will not. The key is that there is more than ample space for any expansion of that waste when it freezes. It is the expanding of the water as it freezes that breaks things. Water increases in size by about 10% when ice.
