Have you tested the batteries? Are they filled with water and if this is a m/h does the engine generator charge them so that they work OK when you shut off the engine? You might try charging them overnight with a battery charger and see what happens.

To troubleshoot your converter put a voltage meter on a 12v circuit in the coach (Or the batteries)  and then plug in the converter. If the voltage goes up to 13+ volts when you plug in chances are pretty good the converter is OK.

Check the voltage from the house batteries... ? ? anything more than 10.5 volts should run the 12v lights. ?If a lower voltage, try charging with an external charger. ?Another forum poster with the same symptom found a bad battery disconnect.

The lights are powered from the converter when you're plugged into electricity.  They run off of the batteries when you're unplugged.

If the lights work when you're plugged in, but don't when you aren't, the problem is in the coach batteries.  Not in the converter.
