As a career RF engineer I know the difference between impedance and resistance, John. I chose to use the term resistance because a) in this case the difference is irrelevant and b) resistance is more understandable to people who aren't as familiar with electrical theory.
 
I have sold my soul to the Ryobi One+ 18v system. Probably have 10-12 of their tools and have 4 or so of the 6Ah batteries. Hedge Trimmer, Weed Whacker, coupla' leaf blowers (one stays in the PUP along with a nut driver and tire inflator), a cut off tool, sawzall, heat gun, grease gun, and a few others. I have some Home Depot stock and I get a 10% veteran discount also. Oh, also a camp lantern and a small bluetooth speaker that runs on the 18v batt. One small hint: Don't EVER buy the generic batts of Amazon. They suck and aren't anywhere near their advertised Ah's.

I agree on the generic batteries, Chef. A few years ago one of our daughters bought a couple of no-name Makita compatible so-called 6AH batteries for me. While they did last a little longer than the OEM 3AH batteries, it definitely wasn't anywhere near double the life.
