Cordless Tire Inflator

I have a couple of them that are made by Ryobi and use the same batteries as a lot of my cordless tools which makes it very convenient. You are ablet to set it whatever pressure you want and leave it and it automatically shuts off. I can't remember at the moment what it goes up to but I know it goes above 80. It works great for topping off most tires. I used it for a dump trailer once and some of them had to go from around 40 PSI to 70 PSI and that drained at least 2 batteries. Most of the time I am able to do 4 tires with one battery easily.

I see a couple of problems with using that type of air chuck. You have to wait at the tire, which can take some time with a motorhome tire.
If using a compressor with no tank, I would agree, but with a pressure tank there's no waiting. Adding a few psi takes just a couple seconds.

I have used tank air compressors many times. I never noticed a big advantage to my better tankless, beside the tank still needs to be filled.

I have a large, tanked air compressor here, but I have not used it for years to fill up an RV tire.

A guy who uses a lot of Topo maps, as I often do.

BTW, are you in Grass Valley, CA? Or Oregon, or . . . (there are many places named "Grass Valley" in different states).

Ahhh...ok, now I get it. A buddy gave me that nick name a long time ago. It's GV, CA, just over the hill from you. Raining here today, and cold as heck. From 84º Saturday to the 40's today.

But what does the "Topo" mean in your username? "Topo" is usually short for "topographical" such as in "Topographical map".

"Topo" is also a name of a game:

Yeah, I left my Auburn house (we often have no hills between us) two days ago when it was ~90°F in Auburn.

Here in Reno it is VERY windy and cool today, but dry. Two days ago, even Donner Summit was warm enough that I didn't have to use my jacket liner and I kept the air zippers in the motorcycle jacket open all the way here to Reno. I went from Auburn to Reno nonstop on an electric motorcycle.

Sometimes from Reno (or vice versa) I take Hwy 20 and then through Willow Valley (very scenic ride) to NV city and then to GV to Auburn on Hwy 49.

I can see it has been raining today at my Auburn house, but it's not raining there right now.

I can see either of my houses, inside or out, from anywhere I can get an internet connection. I have a bunch of security cameras at each house so I can check the opposite house from the one I am staying in.

We have a Halo brand that is jumper and inflater. Works well on smaller up to pickup tires but tried on 80 psi class C was a lost cause.

I have the M18 Milwaukee inflator that came out on top of the Project Farm review above... It does as advertised and since I already had Milwaukee 18V tools and batteries I bought It when HD had them on sale.. They are always having deals on them... I basically got mine free with buying 2 batteries...

I've been using Topos and USFS maps for years but recently I decided to learn to be proficient with a compass, something I never took the time to learn. Maybe we should start a thread on it.

That unit looks pretty good. Lots of good ideas by everyone here. I think I'll try out the S6. It's only a hundred bucks, and would be so much easier than lugging out my heavy tank compressor.
I saw this review on Amazon:

Q: does this work on tires for class A motorhome rv

A: I tried it on my rv tires, and it lost charge and took a long time to inflate. I had to charge it 3 times to get from 50 to 75

Ha...never have seen that game.

I sold my CB500X not too long ago. My first bike was a Sportster, so many years ago. Now the eBike is my best buddy. No heavy helmet and earplugs needed.

Webcams are definitely a handy thing.

I'm gonna be testing out an Etenwolf inflator thing today. Might be the exact thing I need. We'll see.

Hmmm...most of the reviews I saw were positive about the Etenwolf. I'll be testing it out today. My trailer tires need 80psi, so we'll see how it goes. I'll report the results when I have the chance.

I think anybody who has cordless tools should try to find an inflator that takes the same battery. I think it would be a wise purchase for most people.

I have a lot of Bauer (HFT) stuff that uses the 20V battery. Drills, electric saws, portable vacuums, etc.

I have the dual charger and two batteries at each house.

But I have no need for an extra inflator. I own many. But they also have those that run from the same 20V battery.

I've had pretty good luck with HF's cheap Warrior brand for ordinary household use. I've considered the Bauer brand but their batteries and chargers ere as expensive as DeWalt. I see they make a Dewalt to Bauer adapter which means I could use my DeWalt batteries with one.
