I have a question…I bought the Surge Guard 50 amp protector for our 5th wheel and I have the other adapters needed for 30 amp connection. When it rains is it recommended to cover them? If so, is there something recommended? Thanks for any advice/recommendations.

Go to someplace like Harbor Freight and buy one of the small tarps. Then at the hardware store buy 4 8inch spikes. Throw the tarp over, push the spikes theough the grommets into the ground. Done!

I have used line monitoring by Surge Guard for more than 20 years and while I do protect them from moisture if they touch the ground or if the receptacle for the RV plug is touching the ground, I do not worry at all about rain if the entire device and the connections are suspended above the ground.
