We had reservations for Cuiver River State Park this weekend but last night some big storms rolled through here. The park is only about 50 miles from here. I got a text a bit ago that the park is closed due to storm damage and electric being out. They gave a number to call so I did. Got my reservations canceled and a refund. The nice lady on the other end of the phone didn't know the extent of the damage or when the park might be open again. But for now it is closed to all campers.
Missouri State Parks for park status.
It looks like there are several park closures in the area. That sucks. Cuiver RIver is one of the first parks dad took us to when we started camping back in the late 60's or early 70's.
