If you now buy one, free supercharging for life. That is "free" after you blow your ~$110,000 on the truck.

When I purchased my Tesla Model 3 in 2018, it came with free Supercharging for six months. I used a Supercharger for five to ten minutes or so in Truckee, CA just to see how it worked, during that entire six months of my free charging. So simple. Just plug in and it starts the charge. One button, on the charge handle to open your charge door via wireless. But even that is not needed. Just touch the charge door on the Tesla and it will open. Other ways to open it too, such as the screen or the Tesla app. Or the Tesla FOB. It could not be easier.

However, I find charging at home the most convenient, even if I have to pay--oh, hold on--I just remembered I am changing my Tesla M3 as I am typing this, and it has to be done by now. Yep, I just unplugged it. Don't need to but now it is ready to simply drive away. Too cold here for motorcycles lately. I do not like to ride when below 40°F/4.5°C. So I have been driving my Tesla lately.

But I have almost no need to charge my cars on the road. I wish I could say the same for my electric motorcycles. And I wish they were as easy to charge up as a Tesla on a Tesla Supercharger. So the free Cybertruck supercharging for life doesn't mean much to me. But YMMV.

Dont have a link but read an article in the past few days about a backlash against teslas cause of musk's relationship with the right wing. Apparently tesla had a large liberal base of supporters. They are putting bumper stickers on theirs saying things like i bought this before elon went crazy and elon ate my cat.

Yeah, I saw one of those stickers a while back. I got a good laugh out of it. I saw another car parked right next to my Tesla at the Denny's near here which had a sticker that said "screw (but the "F" word) you and your Tesla!" He came to his ICE car as I was getting into my Tesla. It also made me laugh, and I decided to ask him what he had against Teslas. He said he was from the SF Bay area in Silicon Valley and how Teslas keep cutting him off.

I have been in that area (three years ago), Tesla was the most common car there by far, even then. I felt like saying "if you cannot beat them, join them!" but I resisted saying that.

Elon again is the richest man in the world. He must be doing something right. He is also one of the most intelligent people in the world. Perhaps at an IQ of 160. Above 150 for sure. About the same as Albert Einstein.

But when I am out shopping for anything, I do NOT first check to see who the CEO is and who he is and is not supporting. I will decide from the car. And buying or not buying will affect his 140,000 USA employes a lot more than it will affect Elon's 400 billion bucks. I think Elon is the type that if everybody does their best to make him go broke, he will end up even richer than ever somehow. But I am not smart enough to know how he will do it!

Even if Musk shut Tesla down and never sold another one he'd still be the richest guy in the universe. Employees would get screwed but it affects him not in the least. I buy a product because I want the product and the CEO makes little difference to me. Heck, I think Bob Isom is a jerk of a CEO but I live in Dallas and if I have to fly anywhere American Airlines it is.

Yeah, I saw that story. But since it looks rather political, I wasn't going to post it here. Whatever happened there looks deliberate.

Yep

Since it had nothing to do with the Cybertruck itself, I didn't mention it.

If it blew up on its own, I certainly would have mentioned it here.

But since it happened at Donny Towers, and Donny is buddy-buddy with Elon, I figured that was probably why a Cybertruck was used.

They are lucky it was a cyber truck or the explosion could have been much worse with a gas tank involved. The fire department praised the truck for containing the blast. The battery on the truck was unharmed.

I still think that vehicle is the stupidest looking vehicle on planet earth!
And I think it looks better than the average pickup truck. I think all pickup trucks are kinda ugly, but we are so used to seeing them, that anything that looks a little different will stand out and some will find it extra ugly and others not.

It certainly looks a lot different from all other pickup trucks, but that doesn't make it ugly. That makes it look better, at least to me. But that doesn't mean I want one. I do not buy vehicles to look at--but to drive.

BTW, have you seen one in real life, close up?

It’s all in the eyes of the beholder I suppose. I think this looks like it was best with an ugly stick…repeatedly.

To each his own...exactly. After all, some guy recently spent $6.2 million on a piece of "art" that consisted of a banana taped to a board. Not sure if that included a "maintenance plan" to replace the banana once it started to rot.

easily

That wasnt intended as a knock against musk. If you arent making mistakes you arent trying hard enough
I don't think Elon could go broke if he tried his best to. It's kinda difficult to blow 400 billion bucks.

Not that I would know from experience . . .
