CyberTruck Sales are way down so . . . .

And somebody paid $44 billion for a social media company that is worth a lot less today.
I don’t know. He did gain control of all three levels of government. That’s got to be worth something. 😎. (Shamelessly stolen from late night humour).

Heard a report that the use of a Cybertruck in the LV bombing caused much less damage than a regular truck would have. The Cybertruck contained the explosion. A stand issue F150 or Ram or Silverado would have blown to smithereens and done much more damage.

Yah. That’s what the deputy fire chief said.

More importantly and luckily/thankfully it was a poorly built IED.
Hodge podge components not legit high explosives.
A Yugo May have held up.

Here’s 16 Facts About The Tesla Cybertruck You Need to Know.

Every article i read about the cybertruck has me going down the list of supposed features with reactions such as dont care, dont need, interesting but still dont care, oh god no, and maybe, but not worth what they are asking to get it. .

Take car wash mode as an example. Are you kidding me? Now i gotta do a deep dive into the menu system so i can wash the thing? No thank you.

The cybertruck might blow away every other ev truck out there but there aint an ev truck out there that does what i really need so once they figure that out and come out with one that does i will have to suffer by with ices

, I'm not paying $100k for a truck that can make it 90 miles pulling it's rated capacity before it's stainless steel roadkill.
That 90-mile test at the towing limit was done at well below freezing temps. You will not have that problem in Texas. They were out to see it's very worse range possible. FWIW, I wish they would do that on all electric as well as ICE vehicles and show it in their specs.

IMO, to show the worse possible range is a lot more useful than showing the best possible range.

It's rated towing capacity is 14,000 lbs. Not towing, its range is more than 500 miles. I doubt it will be often that anybody will only get 90 miles from the Cybertruck, towing or not. And even that is still around an hour and half of driving--time for a break!

You must have gaslighting trophies in boxes stacked in the garage. I watched a YT video with a couple of guys in a cybertruck towing a 14k trailer, it wasn't below freezing and they were sweating bullets trying to find a charger at 90 miles. And ain't anybody looking for a break every hour and a half of towing, especially one where you gotta unhitch the trailer, charge the truck then hitch back up and that's if you can find a charge station at the extreme ends of the trucks range.

All Teslas have that. It just does a few little things such as preventing the windshield wipers from coming on automatically.

I have never used it--not even once. But I know how to do it.

It's not a big deal. Service--Car Wash mode. Takes about one second. Two seconds if you're extra slow.

Or do this, I just went inside my Tesla to try it. Not even knowing the voice command or if it will work.

Press the mic button and say "activate car wash mode". Then a confirmation box comes up on the screen where I can press yes or cancel. I assume voice can also be used there, but I just pressed cancel.

It also says what it does, locks the charge port (so it cannot be opened by touch), closes all the windows, turns off the automatic windshield wipers and other such stuff you do not want to happen in a car wash.

Teslas are not picky about the way things are said. I would expect it to work the same if I said "turn on car wash mode" or whatever, but I didn't try that.

Sometimes the voice commands are very handy. Such as while driving, I say "turn on defogger, increase fan speed by 3" etc. No need to take your eyes off the road.

Individually it isnt a big deal but all together all those hundreds of things you have justified about evs here are a huge deal for some people. You sound just like my wife lol. But it only cost this and that only cost that. When i add up all her spending for a year it makes me cry lol

The more you post about evs the more you are convincing me to avoid buying one.

Like with my Harley. I love it but there are times when i am facing thw fanboy culture around them that i think maybe i should have bought a different brand

Of course, the more features, the more complicated stuff can get. But for just normal driving, you don't need to know most of it (but charging can be a real hassle for non-Tesla, for the inexperienced).

I don't care if anybody is convinced to go electric because of my messages, I just want to state the facts. It's just that there is a lot of misinformation for me to correct. When things are really and truly a hassle with EVs I say so, such as I did here. As well as several other places. I won't hide such stuff. IMO, I would make a lousy salesman--way too honest for such a job.

But almost everything I see posted about EVs that is negative here, it is based on misinformation, which I will correct.
